About

About Protocol5

Protocol5 began as a public mathematical experiment and now serves as the front door for exact arithmetic, radix conversion, and sequence references.

Origins

Protocol5.com

The older site described Protocol5 as a mathematical experiment by Long Term Software Solutions, Inc., created and maintained by Michael Kappel, MCPD.

Technology

Then and now

The original site referenced Microsoft Azure, C#, and TypeScript. The current version keeps the math-provider core, adds stronger testing, and separates static editorial pages from the interactive calculator app.

Intent

A public home for number work

Protocol5 exists to make exact arithmetic, radix conversion, sequence exploration, and transparent text math understandable instead of opaque.
